Wade is 6 months
I can't believe its been 6 months!
It goes by way too fast. We had his check up. He is 17 pounds and 26.5 inches. At 4 months he was 16.5 pounds and 26.5 inches. He really hasn't grown that much. It definately concerns Steve and I more than our ped though. She just says he looks healthy. I think this allergy stuff is really slowing down his weight gain. The poor kid poops 6 times a day. That would make it hard for anyone to gain weight!
But he is happy, cute as ever, and meeting milestones. He is up on his hands and knees a lot. He rolls all over the floor and is almost sitting up. He is a little love. All of us just adore him! I wish you all could meet him. He is so good natured.
We are off to visit family this week for Thanksgiving. Should be busy and fun. The kids will love being with their cousins. Have a great week and remember all that you have been blessed with! love you all
Soccer
Its over until next season. Kylie is playing spring so we have a few months off. Wes won't play again until next fall if we can convince him.
He had his first season. He scored two goals for the Hot Wheels. Steve was his assistant coach. He liked it some but it was hard to get him focused for the whole time.
Kylie played her second year and she liked it more and more as the season went on. She had some great assists and we really saw her develop her skills.
Here are a few more pics from the season.

Ok, I'll do it!
1. Where Did You First Meet Your Husband?
On the internet. Thats not so weird now, but it was in 1997. People thought we were so weird.I know some of you are thinking, "well you are!" Stop it!
2. What Was The First Thing You Said To Your Husband?
He IM'ed me and said, "Do I know you?"
I think I probably replied with, "No, who are you?" lol
When he came to pick me up for our first date I probably just said, "Hi." We had already been talking for 3-4 weeks before we "met" in person.
3. Where Was Your First Date?
We went to dinner at TGIFridays in Provo and got drinks at Harts afterward. Its all kind of a blur really. I think that's what we did.
4. Where Was Your First Kiss?
After we got our Harts drinks we went to the hill by the Provo Temple and MTC. We kissed there. Technically it was our first date, but we had gotten to know each other really well those few weeks before. So it wasn't like a first date, or like we had just met.
5. Did You Have A Long Or Short Engagement/Courtship?
Fairly short. We met in Aug 1997, engaged in January 1998, married April 10, 1998. That's just 10 months total, 10 weeks of engagement.
6. Where Did You Get Engaged? In a hotel room. Sounds risque huh?
In the hotel by the BYU track, Helaman Halls, and HARTS. He came to help me pack and move back to California after I finished my internship. He was there a few hours before my parents were going to be getting there. He knew they knew he was going to ask me and was worried that they would spill the beans. He kept saying, "Lets go for a drive." or "Lets go check out the Pope family cabin." or "Lets drive to Midway." I kept saying, "No, lets just rest and wait for my parents. They will be here soon." I had no idea. He told me the ring we had looked at, and he bargained with the store people for weeks about, was sold and gone. I didn't think he was proposing. Well, he got impatient (story of my life with him. I should have known.) and just proposed to me in his hotel room while we were waiting for my parents to get there. AND the ring was sold, but to him!
7. Where Were You Married?
In the Los Angeles temple
8. Where Did You Go On Your Honeymoon?
First night was at the Seal Beach Inn, then we spent the next few days in Catalina. The assumption was that we could go back there alot and revisit. SO in the 9 ears we have been married, we have never been back. That plan just didn't work out.
9. Where Was Your First Place Together?
We lived with him mom until my grandparents went on their mission. We moved into their house in January 1999. We have been in my home ward since then.
10. How Long Have You Been Married? 9 1/2 years. It will be 10 in April.
I tag everyone that reads this if you haven't done it yet. I'd love to read your stories!

Halloween
Here are mine. Aren't they cute? Payton is a nurse, Kylie is a ladybug, Wes is a pirate, and Wade's costume was too hot to wear inside so he just has a ghost shirt on.
Wade was just worn out! The others were almost done too. We spent 90 minutes at the mall trick or treating and playing games. They kids got so much candy and had great fun.
Then we headed out with Daddy through the neighborhood. There were so many kids out this year! We walked for awhile and headed to my mom's street. More kids over there. Man, we got so much candy. We filled a file box full to the top! What should I do with it all? What would you do?
I'll tell you what I did. First the kids and I sorted it. I threw about 1/3 of it away, donated about 1/3, and put the last third high in the cupboard. I think I might need to get rid of that last 1/3 though. I can't be eating it and its just too tempting. Anyone want some candy? I have all the good chocolate stuff left.

Fires
Driving home.
Looking out of my garage towards the west in the evening.
**
Please keep us safe. Please keep our homes, pets, and families safe. Please convince people that no house is worth their lives, and that they need to evacuate when asked. Please keep people off their cell phones so the firefighters can use the lines.God, please let us all be okay.
In October 2007 over a dozen wildfires across Southern California, United States forced the evacuation of over 265,000 residents. This evacuation comes almost four years to the day after the Cedar Fire of 2003. At least one person has been reported dead. Fires burned in Malibu, Lake Arrowhead, Irvine, and San Diego. California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles, Orange, Poway, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties as a result. At least 100,000 acres of land were burned near San Diego County.
This is what we have been going through this week. I hope it clears for us soon and I hope more people are not hurt from all of this.

Ultimate Girl Paradise
What a fun night we had! Kylie and I (and Wade) had a girls night out with Sydney and Carrie. We went to The Grove in LA to the American Girl Store and Cafe. Let me just say that this place is so girly, so fun, and the girls could have stayed in there all night if we let them.
Here are some pics from out adventure.

more later. Wade has had enough of me ignoring him for tonight...

My little escaper
This morning I woke up with Wade just before 7am. I changed his diaper and placed him in the swing.
This is pretty much our morning ritual. He swings and goes back to sleep until I take the bigger kids to school at 8am. Since it was Saturday I wanted him to sleep a bit so I could also sleep. As I was placing him in the swing Kylie got up. She started to watch cartoons so I was ok with leaving Wade. She could listen for him and I could sleep.
After a little while I heard her talking to him. It was really cute. Then she came in to me and said, "Mom, Wade is on his tummy." This was about 8:15am.
I immediately thought how did he turn over in the swing? He is buckled and that just couldn't happen. So I said, "Kylie, he is on his tummy in the swing?"
"No, he is on the ground."
"On the ground? How did he get on the ground? Kylie, did you pick him up out of the swing?" I was a little panicky now, wondering what had happened.
"No mommy, I didn't pick him up."
With a little more urgency in my voice, "Kylie, I need to know that truth! Did you pick him up?"
"No mommy, I promise, pinky promise, I didn't touch him." I could here a little quiver in her voice and she doesn't lie to me so I knew she hadn't touched him.
Still how could he get out of the swing and be on his tummy and not cry? I had to see this for myself.
I got to the front room and he was laying on his tummy on the floor, but not even close to the swing. He was about 10 feet away by the sliding door. Not only had he fallen out without crying, but he had rolled around enough to get away from the swing. The swing was still swinging and the buckle was still buckled.
Here are two pics for perspective. . .
I still have no idea how he got out, but he did. I thought the belt was tight. Now its tighter! And I put the tray back on. Maybe that will keep him in place. I really hope he is not done with the swing. Its where he sleeps the best!

Allergies?
Seems we might be dealing with an allergic reaction to something here. I hope its just from some new soap I used on him and not anything food related. Ugh!
This rash appeared Sunday evening and quickly spread over his whole torso. It was gone a few hours later, but I never want this to happen again! He seemed rather bothered by it and so was I!
