Kylie wants to share

our Father's Day Present.

Brandi, Heather, Melanie, and

anyone else that reads this with kids in 1st-6th grade,

Here is a link for you: Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program

Kylie is excited about this! Maybe your kids will be too. If they aren't, then you can just make them do it for torture.

Let me know if you are going to do this with your kids too. Leave me a comment.

Milk, eggs, and peanuts!

Anyone remember this incident? It was back in September. Wade was just four months old at the time.

We know now that this was the start of his allergy troubles. He didn't gain any weight from 4 months till 9 months. Most of you know the story and are pretty sick of me talking about it (right?). For those of you that don't I'll spare you the details and just say that we thought it was a milk allergy, I elliminated milk from my diet and he got somewhat better.

His allergy went from being an internal reaction to external and he has really bad excema now. Our pediatrician referred us to an allergist because of his skin and history of allergic colitis.

We took him to the allergist today and he had 20 back pokes to test him for potential reactions. There were 3 that he reacted to: milk, eggs, and PEANUTS! I wouldn't wish that on anyone. The milk and egg allergies are not life threatening. The nurse just said to do our best and really try to always avoid them. But peanuts scare me!

We got trained about using an epipen and have to carry it and benedryl with us now. We have a huge regimen for caring for his skin outbreaks. We filled 3 perscriptions and talked to our bigger kids about the changes we would have to make.

Wes went right to the cupboard and threw out PB out in the outside trashcan! Kylie didn't react so well. She was convinced that she would have NOTHING to take to school for lunch anymore. Finally we got out of her that she was just really scared for Wade now. Payton just wanted to tell everyone all about his new diagnosis!

So we have some changes to make here, but we will deal with it. Keep us in your prayers that we never have to use that epipen!

Bike Riders

Here is the video from the first day of riding. They have gotten better, but I haven't video'ed anymore. I guess I should do that.

Anyway, they love the bike riding.

Big News!!!

Now I really wonder what all of you are thinking the big news is?

Its probably not what you think.

Its something we have been hoping would happen, but weren't thinking it would be so soon.

And we never thought it would be two at once!

Ok, ok! We have bike riders! Kylie learned yesterday and 10 minutes later Wes took off! As soon as she showed us she could ride around the cul de sac, he insisted that we take his trainers off. (Which, btw, Steve had just put on yesterday.) And then he took off too! I tried to get a video clip but it was hard to get both of them.

I'll upload one soon though!

Target rocks the photo shoot

I love that my Target has a portrait studio. They do such a great job! My favorite phot girl is being promoted though. I hope the new girl is as good as Brionne. Seriously, she does great with my kids! Here are Wade's one year pics. I love his funny smile. I'm so glad she caught that on film.

Yesterday at Disneyland

Have you ever been when its raining? We went yesterday not realizing that it was going to rain so early in the day. As we got on the tram it started to drizzle. As we went into the park it started to rain bigger drops. By the time we were on Main Street it was really coming down. We got Wade his first birthday pin and first visit pin.

Then we decided to walk down to Nemo. I'd never been on it and we heard the wait was under an hour. We thought Grandma would wait and I could take the kids on other rides. Once we got over there I just decided to stay in line with her. We feed the kids snacks and the sun came out. It was getting warm and the rain seemed to be staying away.

As soon as we got to the spot in the line when you give up your stroller, the rain started pouring! We were under the overhead platform right by the ride, but the stroller was getting soaked.

The ride was super cute.

By the time we got off the ride the stroller and everything in it was really wet. We decided to just go home.

Then when we got in the car and started driving home, it looked like it hadn't even rained!

Scrapbooks

So I mentioned previously that its been about a year since I really scrapbooked anything. I'm picking the tools back up and getting motivated to put pictures to paper again. I've been reading some blogs and participating in a few challenges and message boards. One of the boards I visit is all local ladies. Its called socal scrap. If you want to participate in some fun challenges, come check it out. Here are 2 pages I recently did too.
