These are the back scratch tests and the reactions that Wade had about a week ago. The bottom one by the diaper is the peanut test. The highest one is eggs. The one farthest to the right is the plain histamine just to make sure its a valid test. Then next to that is the milk test. The other red spots faded shortly after I took these. We had to hold him and not let anything touch his back for 20 minutes. Thats hard to do with a 13 month old!
This is the pic that you can see the welts on the best. Top-eggs, far right-histamine, next to it-milk, and bottom-peanuts.
And these little feet show a normal excema reaction that he has. Sometimes it looks better, sometimes worse. Mostly just like this though. We lotion him up several times a day to try and help. It doesn't do alot of good.
Even with all of this, he is such a good baby! We love him so much. I wish he didn't have these allergies!

Brandi, Heather, Melanie, and
anyone else that reads this with kids in 1st-6th grade,
Here is a link for you: Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program
Kylie is excited about this! Maybe your kids will be too. If they aren't, then you can just make them do it for torture.
Let me know if you are going to do this with your kids too. Leave me a comment.

Milk, eggs, and peanuts!
Anyone remember this incident? It was back in September. Wade was just four months old at the time.
We know now that this was the start of his allergy troubles. He didn't gain any weight from 4 months till 9 months. Most of you know the story and are pretty sick of me talking about it (right?). For those of you that don't I'll spare you the details and just say that we thought it was a milk allergy, I elliminated milk from my diet and he got somewhat better.
His allergy went from being an internal reaction to external and he has really bad excema now. Our pediatrician referred us to an allergist because of his skin and history of allergic colitis.
We took him to the allergist today and he had 20 back pokes to test him for potential reactions. There were 3 that he reacted to: milk, eggs, and PEANUTS! I wouldn't wish that on anyone. The milk and egg allergies are not life threatening. The nurse just said to do our best and really try to always avoid them. But peanuts scare me!
We got trained about using an epipen and have to carry it and benedryl with us now. We have a huge regimen for caring for his skin outbreaks. We filled 3 perscriptions and talked to our bigger kids about the changes we would have to make.
Wes went right to the cupboard and threw out PB out in the outside trashcan! Kylie didn't react so well. She was convinced that she would have NOTHING to take to school for lunch anymore. Finally we got out of her that she was just really scared for Wade now. Payton just wanted to tell everyone all about his new diagnosis!
So we have some changes to make here, but we will deal with it. Keep us in your prayers that we never have to use that epipen!

Here is the video from the first day of riding. They have gotten better, but I haven't video'ed anymore. I guess I should do that.
Anyway, they love the bike riding.
